Quicken has the ability to synchronize bill and income reminders to
Microsoft Outlook. This lets you view Quicken reminders right alongside
any other events you have scheduled on your personal calendar. I think
this is a useful feature, but it is limited only to Microsoft Outlook users.

I have submitted a feature request to Intuit to add iCAL support for the
bill and income reminders. By adding the option to sync the reminders
out to a file using the well-supported iCAL standard, non-Outlook users
would be able to use their calendar program of choice to view the reminders.

If you think this would be useful, please click on
Help -> Submit Feedback
right there in Quicken and shoot off a similar request. The more
requests Intuit gets for a particular feature, the more likely they are
to implement it.

Here is my original request if anyone wants to cut and paste:

Feature request for Quicken Home & Business: Add the option to
synchronize bill/income reminders to a specified iCAL file in addition
to synchronizing with Outlook. This would allow the reminders to be
viewed by a much greater range of calendaring tools and not limit the
sync feature to just Outlook users.

Thanks!

I think the sync-to-outlook feature pertains to lesser Quicken versions
than H&B: was there a specific reason you made your request only for H&B?

I had no reason for specifying H&B specifically, other that to indicate
what version I use. I would hope that if Intuit chose to implement the
feature, it would be implemented for all versions. (But if not, then I'd
prefer it be included in the version _I'm_ using! :-)

Can you provide a panel or HELP for this? I searched my Quicken HELP tab
for variations of this theme, and didn't find anything. Q2010 P.
I'd like to perhaps investigate 'turning this on'.

Thanks!

I use Google Calendar, but it is shared to others. I think this should
preclude the interesting feature you are requesting. AFAIK, there is (yet)
no possibility to NOT share individual items on a calendar. When that
becomes possible, I would be highly interested. Comments?
