It's a cop out. It removes all requirements for evidence.

Don't you think it's strange that what you define as 'mysterious' may
be defined by some as 'evil' or 'sadistic'. I'm sure that thousands
of children who starve to death every day world wide don't use the
word 'mysterious' with their last gasps of breath. Nor would I imagine
that the thousands of mothers of these children are accustomed to that
word either.

This is not to deny the other side of the coin. Good things happen to
people every day (sometimes to those who the majority of us define as
'unworthy'). The sheer randomness and inequality of it only points to
one of two things; either your God is bipolar and is off his med's
(and he/she has a seriously twisted imagination) or he/she doesn't in
fact exist at all.

And thus those people have no sense of personal responsibility.

I'd rather not have to share the world with useless scum like that.

There is no god
Something that doesn't exist cannot work in anyway let alone mysteriously

it's when they stopped being comforted and start imposing their belief
system on everyone else is when the problem starts
