Yes, very useful. I email people in one of three languages and, being
absent-minded as I am, sometimes forget to switch the keyboard and
start typing in the wrong language and find I've got a few words
'corrected' to the language the keyboard is set to -switching the
keyboard and double-tapping the word will give you the right corrections
for the language the keyboard is in now.

You can in the latest 4.1 beta. Whether that makes it to the final release
though...
