I'm kind of surprised. In most cases, I wouldn't be, but I use Cox in CA
(west) and whenever I call Tech Support out here, they are unbelievably
polite, smart, and not fast to say the problem isn't with them like most
places you deal with. What a difference a few time zones make.

Glad you beat them at their own game though.

Welcome back PA Bear!! Hope you had a good trip...
Bruce......don't get me wrong, I am quite satisfied with Cox
Internet.....wouldn't have anything else, given a choice. Their service is
superb and this is the first time I have run into any sort of problem. In
this case, I just had great difficulty convincing them that this was not an
OE problem. Granted, most of what they see probably is.....and I was almost
convinced I had a problem myself. However, the more I tried to fix it, the
more it pointed to a problem at their end. All the techs were polite,
probably smart (er than me).....I just had a time trying to find one that
would investigate their end and that didn't happend until I provided
undeniable proof. No matter, 'tis done and resolved, Mom is happy....that's
all that matters. Thanks again to all.
Heirloom, old and still thinks mom's
are good

I think one has to allow for the fact that most users call them thinking it
is their own fault (the users') and quite often it probably is, so they tend
to make that assumption when the phone rings :)

SMTP servers rarely have names that start with www. Are you certain that
the outgoing mail server name is correct?
