Pay the loons no mind. Neither of them - Charles or this one - ever
post anything worthwhile on their own.

Your photographic technique is greatly in need of improvement, and
your subject matter is too limited. That doesn't mean you should be
excluded from posting links here. If you feel you can learn from this
group, then continue to post and ignore these two.

You live in a fascinating city that offers a great deal in the area of
photographic subject matter. While parrots and church scenes may be
your interests, you will get better feedback if you widen your scope
and offer street scenes.

Tony, I can only agree.

Miguel's posts are photo NG appropriate and he is undeserving of the abuse.
I have expressed my feelings regarding his subject matter without
resorting to the name calling. It is time for him to explore his home
city and the surrounds for the photo opportunities which must surely be
there.

There is the possibility Miguel might be offended at the faithlessness
of some of us in these NG's, it's just that I am beyond saving.

Have you guys read his bio? He's certainly not a kid! In fact he's a CPA
who is trying to express his creative side and should be encouraged. His
equipment is limited to a G11 Canon, if I'm not mistaken. So, I am sure that
he is what he claims to be. More power to him!

I don't think anybody here thought he was a kid, and if he is trying to
express his creative side he certainly needs to expand his subject
matter and actually put some of the sincere advice to the test.

If he has moved to a G11 he will have a camera which is certainly more
than capable of producing some good results, as I discovered when I was
compelled to use my lifeboat G11 after my D300 was stolen.
Here are 2 of my G11 captures.
The University of Cape Town, on the slopes of Devil's Peak and Table Mountain;

and an opportunistic portrait;

There is no reason Miguel could not use the G11 to produce decent images.

That's a nice portrait. Appropriately soft.
