Indeed. On my honeypot box I went to a website for Double My Speed dot com.
It had me download a program that absolutely refused to shut down unless I
clicked on a box to buy it! Even using Task Manager I couldn't shut it down
-- it just kept restarting. I did go into Control Panel to remove the
program, and it obediently complied and shut down.

Looking at the traces it left behind, sure enough, it left two suspicious
executables and entries in the Run key of the registry.

I like to hear about you 'front line' experiences, David Kaye!

I'm no computer buff at all - I'll be flattening my laptop shortly and
starting afresh - I find it quite quick to do now! I've all necessary
items on CD's, even SP1, 2 and 3 + Retail copy of XP home.

Dustin can be really helpful when he has a mind so to do! ;-)
