Broadcom 802.11b/g
Sorry to trouble you all: Just got slackware 10.2 up and running on a dv5000z hp notebook with an AMD64 and an ATI Xpress 200M video card (unfortunately had to use ATI's proprietory driver). Everything works great except the Broadcom 802.11b/g card. I compiled the driver in kernel 2.6.17.6. I can see the card ... 26 Jul 2006 12:18

I am trying to get one of the Linksys WET11's to bridge a couple desktops to the rest of my home network. The problem is that the WET11 does no... 20 Jul 2006 02:26

I have a Fedora Core 4 server which usually is assigned the IP address of 192.168.0.160. How to capture tcpdump data to simulate connections from multiple IPs?
Hi, This is a generic question about how to capture packets on linux for testing purpose. I need to capture packets comprising TCP connections from multiple IPs to a single host. This is to test my code (in verilog). I can capture packets using tcpdump but since I have only two machines at home, I will only be g... 19 Jun 2006 12:09
Dial-Up Modem Questions
1) I have a USR 56K v.92 Modem. I've noticed that it speed really slows if it has been on for more than an hour. A quick disconnect-reconnect seems to improve speed temporarily for example and then it slows down again after a bit. The modem is hot to the touch so I'm wondering if it is a heat issue. Has anyone... 21 Jun 2006 22:08
When does skb fragmentation happen ?
I'm writing a small kernel module that is similar to a Ethernet device driver and it receives skbs from the kernel. I'd like to generate some skbs with fragments (i.e. skb_shinfo(skb)->nr_frag > 0) to test my module, but I don't know how. If you can help, I'd highly appreciate it. Basically, I'd like to kn... 20 Jun 2006 11:07
