[Samba] Samba question
All, I'm trying to find out if you can limit Samba to only pull user accounts from a particular Active Directory OU. My AD has over 200K contacts entries for the global address list so I would like samba to only query the location with the valid user accounts. I'm running samba 3.0.1. Thanks for any help/s... 10 Jun 2010 10:00
[Samba] idmap GID range became full without reason
Please excuse my ignorance: I have been running Samba for a little time, and I've very little experience with it. I'm running Samba 3.0.37 on FreeBSD 7.2/amd64, configured as member server of a domain whose PDC is a Samba 3.0.25b-apple (the default Samba instance running on a Mac OS X 10.5.8). The member server... 10 Jun 2010 10:00

Samba/LDAP and home dir creation
Hi Dimitri, You probably want to enable the PAM module responsible for this. Back up and edit your /etc/pam.d/system-auth and add the following line: session required pam_oddjob_mkhomedir.so skel=/etc/skel/ umask=0022 Note: Messing with your pam config may lock you out of the system, so be careful. 2010/6... 15 Jun 2010 19:51

Debian Lenny 3.5.3 packages pam-auth-update
Quoting Neil Price (nprice(a)gibb.co.za): I hope it is relevant to report this here. The debian lenny samba 3.5.3 packages at http://pkg-samba.alioth.debian.org have this problem: It is relevant, yes. Mailing pkg-samba-maint(a)lists.alitoh.debian.org is also an option. Probably a better one as this is the pac... 15 Jun 2010 02:11
