Help: Could not find major number for 'rootnex'
One SUN V880 server got some error message like "panic[CPU7]/thread=140a000 Could not find major number for 'rootnex'" during applying latest Solaris patches. The machine keeps reboot then. Folks, I installed Solaris 10 on a Sun V480. Later, I cloned the root file system to another drive using ufsdump/ufsrestore, ran installboot, rebuilt the device tree, etc., and booted with the cloned drive. Worked like a charm. Solaris 10: Why SunOS 5.10?

When I run the installer I get a "error in writing to directory /tmp/oraInstall... ..." asks me it ensure there is enough disk space and directory is writable and greater than 68mb.
