It includes Safari 5 and general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac, including fixes that: • resolve an issue that ca... 18 Jun 2010 08:03
Finder find broken
I got fed up with Find defaulting to searching the entire computer, so I went to the preferences and found "When performing a search" and changed it to "Search the current folder". This did not have the desired effect, giving me the option of searching "thisMac" or "basiljet" and no option to search the current... 16 Jun 2010 09:57
HTML5 apps?
So, in response to criticisms of the "closed" nature of the app store, His Steveness spent a few minutes during the WWDC keynote talking about their support of "open" HTML5 apps. But he gave no examples. Can anyone point me towards and collections of these apps, or suggest any they really like? I don't mean "just... 17 Jun 2010 14:33
MacSoup Trial
I've been using MacSoup for the last few days and so far it's been a real pleasure to use. It was straightforward to set up and it's suitably snappy when reading the posts. I'll give it another couple of days and then register. One query though: I can tag all of the posts in a thread for reading by hitting retur... 15 Jun 2010 14:18

Prediction
I think that the Apple TV is likely to be relaunched as an iOS device, and will be controlled by the new standalone trackpad that slipped out of the rumour-mill last month. The on-screen display will show where it thinks your fingers are. I'm not sure about that last bit, though. Maybe it wouldn't really work. ... 15 Jun 2010 08:42

The patched Flash Player
I've installed the security patch for the Flash player, on my iG5 and on Anne's MBP. On the iG5, the picture quality is slightly less good. Fine detail is not as clear. On the MBP, it's absolutely fine. Even allowing for the increased screen size on the iG5, it's noticeable- at least, I think it is... Innares... 14 Jun 2010 16:16
i<mumbles> on a network?
Dear All From a client: <quote> Over the years we have accumulated a fairly substantial collection of photos and music on, now, three machines. It would be really nice to have them in one (suitably backed up and RAID-supported place) and to be able to access them from there. iPhoto and iTunes work very... 15 Jun 2010 15:25
