I would like to upgrade to xp. I have 3 computers would I have to buy 3
xp softwares or could I install it on all three from the 1 cd.

You need 3 licenses, regardless of how many CDs you have. Best to just get 3
CDs.

You will need 3 and be sure the disk are the Service Pack 2 version.
Next, make sure you update on line to Service Pack 3 as soon as you
get them installed, because MS is going to quit offering SP3 soon.
