That's for sure. I went to cnn.com, clicked on `Reaction to Saddam's day in court`. Got a window that told me I should get Windows Mediaplayer 9. I clicked on `Continue Video` and I got to see video. cnn.com places a lot of cookies, so be sure to accept them. I have installed MPlayer with Packman as installation source (or rather a mirror) I then went to http://mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net/, downloaded the tar.gz. I then read the README and INSTALL. I did ./configure and make with the mozilla-devel package and the copied all the *.so and *.xpt files to the directory mentioed in one of the above two files. (Ha! Made you read them now. ;-) ) No idea why Packman has not released them, because it should be pretty straightforward o make an rpm from them. -- houghi Please do not toppost http://houghi.org You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. Unless someone have written a script, this will involve some work due to mplayer's large amount of dependencies. Charles -- Why use Windows, since there is a door? I did that for fun and I landed on MS site where they say that my operating system is not supported FOR THE MOMENT. So I will wait (no hurry). Soon they will support my operating system. As for CNN I do not miss them either. I used to subscribe when I lived in a house with cable. I thought it wasn't wort it and I stopped my subscription. According to the output, I'm running "MPlayer 1istribution-Packman-4.0.2". It is on an x86_64 computer, so that may be part of the problem.
