Large capacity storage
Wondering if there's any buzz-worthy devices out there for offloading images/movies from a CF UDMA card while 'on the go' for longer periods of time. I've read about 'digital wallets', I've read about using IPod videos with a special camera connector... but am wondering if there are other better options out ther... 24 Nov 2009 16:47
Do people really want to read off something like this?
LCD's are dinosaurs. They've been around for over 30 years. Isn't it time they started working on a better technology (flexible, portable, less fragile?) to promote the replacement of books with? For God's sakes, computer screens aren't even vertical, they're still mostly horizontally oriented and books (in 99% ... 14 Nov 2009 16:40

When Did Detroit Start Building Cars Like Japanese dSLRs????
Per Bill Graham: This is why I abandoned the US auto manufacturers about 30 years ago. I have owned nothing but Subaru's for the last 12 years. I have one with 150 thousand miles on it, and it only quit once, when the speed sending unit on the transmission failed. And even then, it still ran, but didn't run ... 23 Nov 2009 09:37

small aperture test
I've heard a lot about how the cropped sensor cameras are defraction limited to around f/8 - f/11, so I thought I'd see what kind of an image my XSi puts out at a small aperture. I snapped on my 50mm f/1.8 lens and set it up to take a picture at f/22, with a shutter speed of 1 sec. How did it turn out? ... 24 Nov 2009 07:47

What car?
For the auto buffs here...who made this car? I screwed up and lost the note of the model and year, so maker will do. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/cooper213/1879.jpg There was a car club show in town. -- Tony Cooper - Orlando, Florida ... 3 Nov 2009 19:22
Windows "date modified" and daylight savings time
I just realized that now all my files' "Date Modified" are 1 hr off after daylight savings time. This is obvious when you compare the Date Modified vs EXIF date picture taken. After some research, I learned that the Date Modified timestamp is recorded in UTC. Then it is displayed with the current timezone adjust... 4 Nov 2009 14:12
