Can Macs use AutoUnRAR ?? I see some RAR archives are now available in ONE single file called AutoUnRAR. Will these work on a Mac? Harsh experience leads me to suspect it's just for 'the other platform'! Thanks in anticipation ... 10 Sep 2005 13:56
How to Join .avi files Hi I have some .avi files I'd like to join (a movie in two CD-sized parts). Please, how can I do this? What program do I need. I have tried Googling, and Version tracker, but don't see an obvious choice. I have a Mac G4 tower and run Tiger 10.4.2. Thanks ... 8 Sep 2005 14:12
Ipod Shuffle & Audible Bookmarks Apple knowledge base article #300558 indicates that... Bookmarks iPod shuffle allows you to bookmark audio books purchased from Audible.com (files with a .aa extension) and the iTunes Music Store (files with a .M4B extension). If you stop or pause one of these spoken word files, iPod shuffle will automatically... 7 Sep 2005 13:58
How to copy audio CD's in OSX Is this possible? How can I? The other day ago I needed to copy a CD that a pastor had created of himself speaking on a important issue for a friend, but was out of luck on copying the CD to another CD, so I had to copy it to a tape. Surely there has to be a way to avoid tapes. Although I do see blank tapes... 15 Sep 2005 20:39
Linksys wireless instructions I've ordered a new iBook (Airport installed), and want to set it up with my existing Linksys WRT54G (version 2) wireless router. When I set it up with my G5 iMac a year ago, I didn't bother with a whole lot of security. Can someone point me to step-by-step instructions for my Macs? The manual deals strictly with Wi... 2 Sep 2005 14:52

IPOD - is the only backup another IPOD? Problem: My 30G Ipod Photo has over 14G of music, meaning there is no longer enough room to transfer the files onto it (in finder mode) for a back-up. Yes, I've burned CDs to back up what I've purchased, but let's face it. No one wants to rebuild their library from CDs in the event of a crash or theft of a compu... 26 Aug 2005 13:02
voice recognition/activation software? I'm completely naive about this (not even sure whether to call it reognition or activation or what). I'd like something that will respond to and record my voice, say in Textedit (but ideally in more applications). What's the best/state of the art, under Tiger and a G5 (it would be nice, but not essential, if it... 26 Aug 2005 08:53
ratDVD format on Macs? Greetings! I downloaded something from the internet which decoded to a large file in ratDVD format. This is some kind of Windows-specific video format. Does anybody know of a way to use this on a Mac? Either on-the-fly decoding for viewing or burning to a standard-format DVD would be fine with me. Thanks ... 21 Aug 2005 22:53
transfering iTunes library from Mac to PC I spent quite a bit of time loading the family CDs into iTunes on my Mac. Now my husband is getting his own iPod, which is great, but he works with a PC. It would be a major drag for him to have to reload all those CDs! I need to transfer all the family CDs that I have on my Mac to his PC computer, so that he can h... 24 Jul 2005 21:48 |
