Little 3.5 inch plastic squares that hold no more that 1.44 Megabytes
and are very slow.

It takes 451 of them to store what you can put on one CDR or CDRW.

Even Windows XP can write to a CDR if you have a burner in your
computer.

Even Windows 3.1 can write to a CDR.

Actually, my IBM ThinkPads had 3.5" ED Floppy drives that held 2.88
MegaBytes.
I still have a case of unused 2.88's I'd stocked up on when the format died

In that case would you like to have 16 boxes of 5.25 inch disks?
Some are 1.2 MB, some are 360K.
Most are brand new never used.

Does Q10 have the option to Close the company file so that when you
launch the program again you have to select a company file?

If this is the case, then closing the company file before exiting the
program should speed up things the next time you open the program. (This
is a QuickBooks trick that might work with Quicken.)
