Thanks Jim.

The LOB app's are all services that authenticate with administrator rights
and all resources it needs are all local to that particular physical machine.
And currently that machine is a AD server. This is why i am skeptical about
demoting that machine and letting the SBS be the "Boss Hog" of the network.

If the LOB app resides on the server and the server is configured as an Active Directory domain, then users must logon to the Domain before they can have access to the resource, even if the LOB app has its own user name and password setup, therefore a CAL is consumed, just by logging onto the domain.
