Your specs are adequate, your machine should perform prettty well. While
512MB is kinda a minimum amount of memory for XP, 384MB will do the job.

Any time.

Some winme prog don't need what's in the registry to function -- you
can simply cut and paste the install directory and data files to winxp
computer. You may need to use compatibility settings.

FYI

Laplink may work for you. Simply remove harddrive from old computer,
install as slave. Then transfer needed folders and files. Laplink
works for the following::

http://www.laplink.com/pcmover/ "Let PCmover transfer your entire
PC:

Programs and applications Files and Folders Settings
? Microsoft Office
? Adobe Photoshop
? PC Games
? Messenger Programs
? And many more
? Documents
? Spreadsheets
? Photos
? Videos
? Music
? Desktop backgrounds
? Icons/Shortcuts
? Internet Explorer Settings
? Favorites/Bookmarks
? More"
