From: Cap'n Ron on 13 Apr 2007 18:00 It's not available commercially but it is still around. It also works just fine on both my desktop and laptop with XP. There was a problem with Direct X installing it, but there is a workaround. Anyway, you didn't answer the question. I wanted to know what softsynth available commercially today would most closely resemble the Yammie. It is a great tool, but the guitars tend to sound a little weak. Thanks Max, lots to look at. Aren't some of these considered soundfonts with huge libraries necessary to make them work? I recently heard about the Garritan GM. That one sounds promising. I really like the simplicity of the SYG, but it may be time to learn something new.
