Over at avrfreaks.net the question of periodic instruction set testing has come up, in particular as a requirement (apparently, it's not exactly clear) in UL1998. I've never heard of such a thing. Can anybody tell me anything about this subject, such as, is it actually done, and if so, how? ... 3 Jun 2010 15:37

Maxim Security ICs - Alternatives?
We have an application where we would like to use a low cost security IC to protect IP. The Maxim DS2432 or DS28E01-100 are possible candidates. A very small SPI device would also be OK. As usual, Maxim doesn't really want to sell these. They quote a lead time of 26 weeks. Avnet quotes 100 weeks!, Can you get ... 4 Jun 2010 19:11
