Command-line VNC
I have SSH access to my home computer right now, but not physical access. I'm looking for a VNC server that can be installed and configured entirely from command line. Portable hard drive
I have a 60 GB portable USB hard drive. It mounts fine on my desktop computer (a PowerPC G5 1.8 Ghz Dual) and on every Windows XP computer that I've tried, but it won't mount on my PowerBook G4 laptop. Unable to Open a Word document
Just installed Microsoft Office v.X for Mac on my new Mac Book. It's the version from school which teachers in the district are licensed to install on home computers. Differences between types of ports?

compressing aiff files
I'm shifting some of my old audio cassettes to cd and find that some of them are just a little long to squeeze onto a cd.
