"Very little violent crime" you say.....All it takes is one instance to
leave you very dead. There is very little crime of any sort here in West
Salem, but I still sleep with a loaded pistol under my mattress, because I
am not stupid. If nothing else, I might have to use it against some radical
religious nut that decides to kill me just to get a few more virgins in his
crazy heaven. There's no accounting for the religious nuts of this world,
and it pays to be wary of them. I have been dealing with them all of my
life, so I know what I am talking about. You can do a lot of talking, Lei
Nut, but nothing you say can replace my 74 years of experience,

All I can say, though having a few decades less "experience" than you,
is that I would really *not* trade places with you.

Keep living in bitterness, resentment and fear...

I'm off tomorrow to try out a new tent, have a great time with a
fantastic GF and maybe even take some nice pictures... ;-)

Yes. Health care, like everything else, costs money and has a cost/benefit
curve that goes along with it.....How many heart transplants do they give to
80 year olds in one of the socialized medicine countries, like Norway or
Sweden?

They usually settle out of court. Why? Because juries are very sympathetic
to the little guy, and have been known to award many millions of the big
companies money to him.

Talk about a gift to the rich! You don't think that richies like Bill Gates
wouldn't like that? He would get filthy rich overnight. You can only wear
one outfit at a time, and drive one auto at a time. The real rich don't
spend near enough of their incomes for the government to make any money from
your plan. It's ordinary people like me that would suffer and end up paying
all the bills. Even I would make out like a bandit. At 74, my appetite for
fast cars and fancy junk is no longer there.....I end up saving most of my
money for grandkids and the like. I drink a lot more prune juice than
Caviar, I can tell you that.....
