Need advice on overheating
Hi, I have an Antec SP-500 power supply that supposedly only turns on the secondary fan when neccessary. Yesterday my monitor went black, I felt the case and it felt quite hot. motherboards ignoring power_good (grey wire) ?!
I was experimenting with the wires - power_on(green) , power_good(grey), and 5VSB(purple) I had read on a pcguide article, something along the lines of, the PSU sends 5V down power_good , and 5VSB. How to monitor temperatures to avoid shutdown?
When I play a 1080P video on my plasma my computer shuts down after approximately 2 minutes. When in the bios health page I see that shutdown is selected for CPU at 70C and that when in the bios page the temperatures are: CPU 60C , case 35C Of course when my video is playing I cannot see these temperature... 7 May 2008 06:28

Hard Drive On Last Leg?
