Which power suply output opens/closes the DVD drive door?
Anybody know which power suply output powers the DVD drive door? I recently tried increasing the CPU multiplier on my main system and the system died. First, I suspected the BIOS was flashed wrong... But, prior to this problem, the DVD drive door was not properly closing, it had to be push started. Put that DVD ... 17 Feb 2010 02:10

Formatting a hard disk and handling of suspicious bad sectors
When I right-clicked a hard disk in Window$ and hit Format, was it the hard disk controller that took over to format a particular sector on the disk? Or was it the OS? I wanted to reduce the fault tolerance level of the formatting process such that it would mark a sector as bad when there was one single read... 17 Feb 2010 02:10

Intel DP35DP, CPU fan should automatically speed up?
I have the same problem with the Q9550 stock CPU fan as I did with the E6850, the fan stays at 1160 rpm while the CPU temperature goes to 75C. Maybe my mainboard/motherboard is faulty? Something obvious in the BIOS that I am missing? Last time, I clipped the blue fan wire (one of four) and that seemed to help,... 7 Mar 2010 09:34

conventional memory replacement
Recently, our ethernet card came slightly loose, (it's a card for a tower that's in a smaller computer and can't be screwed in). I mistakenly tried to push it back in without turning off the computer and it seems to have blown some of the conventional memory because we're now getting a message that win xp requi... 11 Feb 2010 19:35
