Annoyances I wish Apple would fix i have a number of external drive partitions that I would like to be "private", that is, excluded from Spotlight indexing. But, for reasons unbeknownst, frequently one or more of these partitions is removed from Spotlight's privacy list, and once so removed cannot be placed back in the list. Problems restoring a backup Hello all! I'm using the .Mac backup software and attempting to restore from an external firewire/USB drive. The drive will mount fine and I can see the files on it, but I can't restore from the backup utility. The disk is formatted FAT32.
