Lock icons in dock?
I have a dear mother-in-law with a click and drag problem. She is constantly dragging her icons out of the dock ("poof") and then calls me in a tizzy that "xyz" is gone and she needs it back. Is there any way to lock the darned icons in the doc, or should I just put shortcuts on the desktop. Thanks. Cindy ... 13 Jul 2006 19:13
Grammar
Michelle Steiner wrote: Grammatically, though, it should have been "Even if you do learn to speak correct English, to whom are you going to speak it?" But I would have used "with" instead of "to". People! It's *_OK_* to end a sentence with. A preposition. My standard is that "grammatically correct" ... 23 Jul 2006 10:58

My fonts are in four places: the System folder, the Library, my user Library, and my Classic System folder. Linotype Font ... 6 Jul 2006 02:44
monolingual
Monolingual is a utility to free disk space by removing language resources that most people will never use, such as Korean, Chinese, and Russian. Is that a good idea? It looks dangerous because it could be hard to replace a missing resource. I wonder why language resources can't be installed independently f... 4 Jul 2006 11:47
GD 2 on OS X Server 10.4?
Hi all, I'm in the process of setting up a PowerMac G4 Dual 1.25 as an Expression Engine (http://www.pmachine.com) development server. All is going well, except GD/GD 2 support. OS X Server does not come with GD 2 support out of the box. So I did some digging around, and found others with the same problem. ... 4 Jul 2006 11:47
Screw MTV, screw iTunes
"MTV adds slew of content to iTunes" http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1849 I would advise not buying this content if you plan on makeing a DVD of your favorite videos. Apple allows a limited number of "burns" for its audio content, why not for its video content? Instead of complaining to Apple, I s... 4 Jul 2006 11:47
