[Samba] Samba 4 and nsswitch
Having some difficulties determining which way to go here. Have an Ubuntu 10.2 server running S4Alpha11. The samba stuff is working well enough (though with a bit too much idle CPU consumption--haven't go there yet). However, I can't get proper responses for file system and user/group lookup. With AD in... 18 May 2010 14:47

The obvious solution is to add a filter to the login LDAP search that restricts to gidNumber=10038 or 10001, since those are the groups I need. ... 18 May 2010 12:34

RE : Example of command ". / Setup / provision"
SNIP How to know the NetBIOS name in Linux? Linux does not care. Only Windows cares. The name of my domain is: DOMAINE.CH The name of my server: SERVEUR-TPI The posix name of the server does not matter. Nor does the DNS name as it can have more than one DNS name. You need to work with Samba as ... 18 May 2010 10:21

Some of the related pages (e.g. the Wiki [3]) have already been adapted to the new style as well. Special thanks go to Blackbit [4] fo... 18 May 2010 10:21
