[Samba] problems after upgrade from 3.3.2 to 3.4.0
Hi, After upgrading one of my samba servers from ubuntu jaunty (3.3.2) to karmic (3.4.0) I cannot access the shares any more. The server (FINTLEWOODLEWIX) is set up to check authentication via a PDC (IO), which is also running 3.4.0 (and has been before). Guest access is allowed so that any users without a loc... 26 May 2010 00:32

[Samba] smbd start trouble - CentOS 5.4
Hi, I've been through a long discussion of this on the CentOS list, where people are quite helpful, yet we've gotten nowhere with it. With smbd Version 3.0.33-3.14.el5 on two different CentOS 5.4 64-bit boxes, "/etc/init.d/smb start" reports OK for both nmbd and smbd, but an instant later smbd stops running, w... 25 May 2010 16:52

[Samba] Problem logging in to LAN
Since installing kubuntu 10.04, I've had problems logging in to my account on the corporate LAN. The account is Windows ADL and I need to supply a username and pwd for each logon. A couple of years ago under kde 3.X, I used smb4k to get to network shares, but that stopped working w/ kde 4.X so I moved to PyNe... 25 May 2010 05:52

[Samba] Upgrading Samba
I have a fairly old Samba server, 3.0.25, on CentOS 4.8. I'd like to update it to something more modern, so I grabbed the "Enterprise Samba" 3.5 RPMs for RHEL, and went to work on a test machine.
