makeconnection (gmail domain.com[1.2.3.4]) failed: Invalid argument
I am seeing very weird message in /var/log/maillog. When I send an email, I see that error message (makeconnection xxxxxxx failed: Invalid argument). The feature HeloName is new with 8.14. Is there anyway to configure this in version 8.13? If not, is there another way to control the host name that v. 8.13 sends with the HELO command? We're running Red Hat Enterprise, and they are not yet distributing v. 8.14. ... 30 Jun 2008 12:43
Don't check domains in addresses
We have an smtp gateway that processes all incoming mail, and re-sends what passes filtering to the backend imap hosts. The backends' access.db tells them to accept mail only from the smtp gateway.
