I read somthing a long time ago about this, but I still can not figure this
out. I have Googled 24bit/codec bla bla bla and still can not figure how
to make these play. I even read that Windows Media Player could play 32bit
files. Could anyone give me links to the proper codec and tell me how to
install them?

A quick search on m$ turned this up:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/codecs/audio.aspx#WindowsMediaAudio9Professional

See WMA 10 Pro CODEC. I'm sure there are others out there, though I haven't
looked. Did you try http://codecs.com/ ?

Thanks Sue,
I have been to both of those, I still can not figure out where the codec for
24bit is, or how to load it into my computer. I know someone here did this
a good while back, just can't remember who. No, no, I really don't think it
was Who.
Don't know.... thanks?????

Hey Max.
I use Winamp with all my 24 bit files. If you have winamp, just search
around thru thier options menu.

Let me know if you find it, if not I'll search my machine later on.

Since switching to 24 bit, my Win media player won't play 24 bit wav
files, yet iTunes will. It's a free download and I just choose "open
with" iTunes. I love using iTunes for playing FX. I converted all my
FX CD's to mp3s for condensed storage and iTunes has an excellent
search function for it's database. You can also drag from the iTunes
window to Sonar's window for importing.

I would think that Win media player 10 would play 24 bit wav files
without installing any special codecs. Correct?
