Biasing bipolar transistors
How can one tell if one has the optimum setup for biasing a bipolar transistor, while it's still all on paper? There must be a way, I just don't know what it is, and am thinking that it's not necessary to build the damn thing every time to *see* if it works. Many thanks, Dave ... 24 Dec 2009 15:09
Discharging a lithium-ion battery, what is the third wire for?

component tester, transistors and diodes / LEDs
Hello, I'm looking for a transistor tester that tests gain and leakage of transistors, also tests diodes and has enough current to light up an LED. Would prefer if it would identify leads and tell me the voltage on the diode / low voltage zener and LED. I am considering the M^3 electronixs model but what el... 19 Dec 2009 01:59
Programmable clock divide-by-N
For some reason I'm having troubles finding a programmable clock divider chip. I have a 20MHz reference clock that I need divided by 23. I would like the option of changing this divide ratio if needed. I can't seem to find a simple single chip solution (smaller the better). I'm currently looking at CPLDs which ... 23 Dec 2009 15:11
