Precision wirewound pot wiper bounce?
Recently bought the 3-turn wirewound pot below to replace a worn 1- turn conductive plastic pot; http://media.digikey.com/photos/Vishay%20Spectrol%20Photos/533,534,535%20SERIES.jpg Out of the box, the thing exhibits wiper bounce or something similar. Every now and then the wiper appears to momentarily lose cont... 16 Jul 2010 22:03

Instrumentation op-amp for DC-coupling to audio input?
I'm considering an op-amp for making a DC coupling adapter to a soundcard to convert it to signal logging purposes while retaining its audio performance. It uses a passive adder and a gain of 2 to add a bias voltage to the signal before an ADC input. The sound card is one with external analog circuitry in a ra... 20 Jul 2010 12:28
Am I being International Rectifiered again?
http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/FG%2FFGA30N120FTD.pdf Maximum collector current 60A at 25C. I don't see any condition, taking a reasonable guess at Vce(sat) at max Tj, where this could possibly dissipate anywhere near the power rating of 339W (also at Tc = 25C). In fact, the typical output characteristics show it ... 17 Jul 2010 08:44

voltage monitoring
Hi, I got 2A flowing through a coil and about 200 volts peak to peak across it. I need to monitor this voltage and keep it constant. I am thinking some kind of digital feedback system that can not only monitor this voltage but also keep it constant. Now, I need to step down this 200 volts to about 5 volts peak... 23 Jul 2010 20:13
