current mirror
I was thinking of using discrete single or dual transistors to make a current mirror, for currents of about 1uA to 3mA. Then I found that Zetex makes current mirror devices. http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=ZDS1009CT-ND Zetex ZDS1009TA OK, fine, but what I don't get is the suggested... 15 Jul 2010 03:24
Opto-isolated zero crossing detector
Hi All, I have an sinusoidal AC signal between 30V and 160V AC and between 200 and 600Hz in frequency, and I need an opto-isolated zero crossing detector. The AC is actually from a transformer output but I don't want to add any more windings to it. I do however have a centre tap on the AC output. Does anyone ... 20 Jul 2010 16:52
sounds idiotic to me

Photo diode receiver modifications
I am experimenting with a SI photodiode receiver using a Texas Instruments OPA847 opamp as a transimpedance amplifier and a SFH205F photodiode. I was able to get the amplifier stable. (at last....) The only things I have to change is make the receiver work better in high ambiant light conditions. At the end this re... 17 Jul 2010 11:58
Hey Tim, a unity gain 12 to 330 V DC converter :-)
Hey Tim, a unity gain 12 V DC to 330 V DC converter: ftp://panteltje.com/pub/unity_gain_330VDC_generator.gif The blue graph is the value on C4. R5 is there to alow it to start up. Maybe it can be done with one emittor follower with transistors with more beta. C3 R1 and C2 R4 R5 compensate so the round going phase... 14 Jul 2010 14:19
Microcontroller issue
Hi, I need some advise on how to calculate that how fast a microcontroller can generate a sqaure wave. Calculations that involve oscillator frequency and how much an instruction will take to do it. And I also need to understand the calculation because I am trying to do pulse width modulation with frequency ra... 14 Jul 2010 22:00
Problem with simple OpAmp Circuit, need help
Hello, I have been searching for a bug with a simple analog circuit for weeks without results, so now I am trying to get help from you people. The final design is obviously more complex than that, but I have been able to isolate the problem to that particular circuit, build around a single LMC6282 c... 14 Jul 2010 17:38
