Borderless laser printers

Hp Laserjet 2100 hardware issue

Brother MFC 4800 drum reset problem
Hi I just replaced a drum unit (DR250) in a Brother MFC 4800. Everything went OK until I happened to look at the display. It still told me that I needed to replace the drum! Now on my third Epson C86
I purchased the original unit late September last year. After two months it stopped printing yellow & magenta. Head cleaning didn't help - and by the time the authorised repair agent had also tried this, my cartridges were cleaned out. Replacement unit has now died exactly the same way. My Epson c84 blue ink seems to be stopped up and so far I haven't been able to unstop it. However, the graph showing ink level continues to show the ink level dropping. Are compatible and remanufactured toner cartridges good?
I have a Brother MFC-9700 laster printer. I need to buy another toner cartridge and see that I can save money by buying either a compatible or remanufactured cartridge.
