I never had a VIC-1540 to go with my VIC-20 when I was a kid. I had a datasette. I was reading that many of the 1540s were infact 1541's inside (or were modified to be 1541s) so that they could work with the 64. So my question is just how rare is a stock VIC-1540? ... 18 Feb 2007 11:23

Any market for broken/flaky/untested C64s and peripherals?
Hi all. Long story short: Moving in a couple months, need to lighten up on the property. While I'll be keeping my working C64 and floppy drive, I've collected over the years assorted hardware that is in a state of disrepair, or is in an unknown state because I was given something with no power supply. I c... 18 Feb 2007 02:50
2 SIDs in an SX-64 + Prophet64
I don't know if I'm the first, honestly I doubt it... but if so, I just want to say, it was a piece of cake. Infact, it was easier than any other SID2SID installation. Photos/sound are here: http://sdf1.org/curiosity/sx64 Have you heard of SID2SID? If not, then you at least know about 'SID stacking' as a w... 13 Feb 2007 16:43
