monopod Picked up a new monopod today. It's nice and heavy, so when it hangs off the bottom, it gives me a good indication of when the cam is level. I think it will help quite a bit. Any camera with "live view" most of the time? I was playing with a Nikon D300s. There are two primary ways of composing your images: 1. In the viewfinder, where you are looking at a reflection off of the moveable mirror, and 2. LiveView, where you look at the LCD screen on the back of the camera. overhaul of manfrotto #029 mk1 head? I just bought an old, much used one of these from eBay. It works OK, but looks a little beat up.
