FFT / IFFT
Hello everybody, I'm a DSP newbie and have some basic questions. I want to process a signal with a FFT, a filter and then with an IFFT back in a time-domain signal The test system has the following setup. 1.) FFT of the time-domain signal 2.) IFFT of the freq-domain signal Both transformation are with com... 2 Jan 2006 23:24
O-QPSK Demodulation
Hi all, I have to demodulate an O-QPSK signal. As usual in this kind of modulation, symbols (chips) have an half-sine shape, and the Q channel has a 90 degree (half simbol) offset with respect to the I channel. The first thing I have to do (and perhaps the most difficult) is removing the frequency offset from the ... 20 Dec 2005 04:13
Matlab problem(pam signal)
sin signal frequency 10^4/(2*pi) Hz sampling rate 8 kHz Applied to a sample-and-hold circuit to produce a flat-topped PAM signal with pulse duration 500us. how do i compute the waveform of the PAM signal? how do i compute and denote the magnitude spectrum of the PAM signal? how do i compute the envelope? ... 21 Dec 2005 10:27
HW interrupt problem
hi, can anybody tell me what is wrong with my code for dsk6416, please. i'm expecting LED1 to blink every second(500ms on, 500ms off), by using HW interrupts. in dsp/bios configuration -> HW InterruptServiceRoutineManager i set timer1 as the interrupt source for HWI_INT15 and set function _tm1 to be called. the res... 11 Dec 2005 10:57
DFT/FFT in real time
Hi I am using TI eZdsp f2812 board to do a DFT. The sampling rate is 4 MHz, so in order to get good accuracy, I need to do a 1024/2048 point DFT for good frequency resolution. The incoming data is continuous. I want to know if this can be done accurately in real time? If not, how can i make it happen in real tim... 10 Dec 2005 06:09
Preamble detection in ofdm synchronization
I'm currently studying the preamble synchronization of ofdm symbols in power line comunication (OFDM synch scheme for power line telecommunications, V.Baena & co). I haven't finished my research yet but there's a few things i dont understand. 1. In the auto-correlation of the preamble (coarse timing sync), the... 8 Dec 2005 22:05
Plotting of FFT graph in Excel
Hi all, I wanna plot a FFT graph. Let's say i have variable, t y(t)=rect(t) Y(f)=FFT of rect(t) If i wanna plot the FFT graph. What should be the x and the y axis? is it 't' and 'absolute of Y(f)' respectively? Please correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks for any help in advance. ... 18 Dec 2005 05:23
OFDM Simulink problem, SOS!
I'm simulating an OFDM transceiver to be later converted and implemented on a C6713 DSK. I'm currently facing a problem with the simulation and i'm at my wits end trying to figure out what is wrong. Thus i'm really hoping you guys can lend me some help otherwise i can't proceed anymore... Here are 2 pictures o... 9 Dec 2005 10:24
quantization
Hi I have a 10-dimensional vector v(t)=(C1(t),C2(t),......,C10(t)) where Cj(t) is between 0 and pi for any t. I let t run from t=0 to t=T and get a set S of vectors S={v(0),v(1),.....,v(T)} How do I map this set S into a discrete set D ? And how do I calculate the probability of any discrete vector in D... 4 Dec 2005 15:14
