HPConnect for Mac OS X There is some info on this site about connecting an HP calc to Mac OS X, but the posts are pretty old. I just downloaded HPConnect from http://hpconnect.sourceforge.net/index.html and it seems to work very, very well with my HP50g. I did not try very hard to break it, but it seems to function exactly as one would ... 9 Jun 2010 00:59
ROM for 50G Hello, I am using the emu48 emulator. I have succeeded to find a ROM for the HP49 (the official flash file converted with a tool available at the page of emu48). But are they ROM available for the HP50G? I can download the official firmware from HP but I do not know how to generate a ROM from that. Olive ... 7 Jun 2010 14:18
Computing limits for complex functions -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, One can define sin(z), z being a complex number. How can the HP50g compute the limit of sin(z) when z approaches the positive infinity? (I.e. what could I type to achieve this?) I can evidently compute limits for real-valued functions, with the HP50g, but I ne... 9 Jun 2010 17:34
Limits for periodic functions -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Let's say that I want to compute the limit for the variable approaching the positive infinity of one periodic function. Mathematically, this limit does not exist. Then, why does the HP50g tell me `Bounded var error,' and then a boundary for the rest of the fu... 6 Jun 2010 09:25
limit problem with HP49G Hello, I have a HP49G in hand (not the latest calculator but anyway...). I have found a bug with the limit function. I ask the limit of (I use English name instead of symbols impossible to type in an ascii keyboard). sqrt(3x+2)-sqrt(3x+sqrt(x)) x=infinity The calculator answer +infinity while the corre... 7 Jun 2010 18:50
Nspire Touchpad keyboard TI recently introduced a new version of the Nspire called the Nspire Touchpad which has a new keyboard layout. (http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi- sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/archv019.cgi?read=164410) The reason I mention it here in comp.sys.hp48 is because of its "enter" key. The keyboard has over a half-dozen different siz... 9 Jun 2010 14:12

USB TO IR TO HP48 Hello, I´ve seen some USB to IR adapters, somebody knows if they work with the HP48 IR??? ... 8 Jun 2010 19:30
Probability functions This is to be just a note about probability functions. When trying to compute the probability associated with some "noteworthy" probability functions (for instance, t-Student or Fisher) using the appropriate functions on my Hp 50g (so, for instance, UTPT or UTPF), the maximum number of degrees of freedom the calcul... 4 Jun 2010 08:06
