inconsistant sine problem
Trying to work some problems that involve sine or cosine. If I take 2pi and perform sine on it, I get 0. Which is what I'm expecting, but if I take 2pi and first->num to it so there is a numeric value on the stack I get a 4.13x10^-13 Is this just error from the number not being represented symbolically? I thoug... 29 Nov 2006 18:30
Debug4x supports User RPL
http://www.Debug4x.com I have added many new features to support User RPL in the editor. The old Text Execution window is still supported and it has a new double-click window from the entry box which also supports syntax highlighting of User RPL. I would like to thank Roger Broncano (HP USe rEdit 4) for supp... 3 Dec 2006 07:04
Statistics area from z-score function
Hi, Is there any statistical function I can call directly from the stack that can supply me the z-score when I give the area for the normal distribution? That is, if I supply an area of .9750 I should get back a z-score of 1.96. UTPN gives me area from z-score - `1 - UTPN(0,1,1.96)' returns ..9750. I need t... 25 Nov 2006 13:24

Why do I bother? I have used HP calcs from the hp35. This is disgusting. My Ti89 always works. How can you stand this po... 26 Nov 2006 17:37

TI user tempted by 50g
Hi: I need another calculator. I use a TI89 primarily for light to medium computations, and Mathematica for heavy duty. I was considering a Voyage200 since the QWERTY would be much easier to use than the TI89 for entering variables. But I would really like a much more powerful calculator overall. I am al... 26 Nov 2006 06:06
0 SIZE returns 0.; bug?
With a ZINT (exact integer object) for an argument, the SIZE command usually returns the number of digits in the ZINT. I don't know whether anyone else has noticed,, but 0 SIZE returns 0., instead of the 1. that I'd expect. Should this be considered a bug? Some background: I surmise (from the results of the -... 29 Nov 2006 11:17
