Yet another hp48gx vs 50g (should I buy 50g...?)
Hey I have 48gx, 48sx, 28s + other older HPs.... .... and were wondering whether to buy the 50g. For me paying that 113 is not too much, I'm just wondering if the 50g would be significantly better than the 48gx. So, I tried to read all the previous 48gx vs 50g threads, so I'm trying to ask about stuff I... 7 Apr 2010 16:52
Seeing graphics while plotting
Hi everyone, I've been playing with a little graphics programming recently. Not plotting functions, just messing about with PIXON etc. If I write a program to draw on the screen using PIXON and the other functions like ARC etc., is there a command which will keep the graphics screen visible while the plotting... 30 Mar 2010 03:57
Partial fraction expansion limitations ?!?
Hi, Being relatively new to the HP-50G I am still getting used to its functions, power, and what appears to be certain limitations. One problem I seem to have is getting a partial fraction decomposition of a function with polynomial coefficients that are not integers as such. Sure it would be nice to always... 29 Mar 2010 21:24
Dust inside 50g. How to clean? How to prevent?
I tried the suction cup method (http://holyjoe.net/hhc2006/dust/ index.htm). It really helped and didn't affect the cosmetic state of the screen cover. ... 27 Mar 2010 04:25
MC: 4th power with no small digits
It would *seem* that all integers raised to the 4th power contain at least one digit less than 5. For example, 26 to the 4th power is 456976, which contains a 4. However, there does exist a positive integer X such that X^4 contains no digits less than 5. Mini-challenge: Write a User-RPL program that finds the o... 3 Apr 2010 13:42

HP 50G packaging
My HP 50G came in a blister package, but significantly different from what is pictured here: http://commerce.hpcalc.org/images/50g-boxfront-medium.jpg Instead, the cardboard insert was black. There was no manual, but it came with a Quick Start Guide. The CD and USB cable were included. Is this just another s... 22 Mar 2010 20:39
HPGCC
Looking for HPGCC compiler I found different web sites (http://hpgcc.sourceforge.net/ that redirect on hpgcc.org, http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=6298 and so on). hpgcc.org seems no longer active. So my question is where I can download HPGCC ? Is http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=6298 the right pointer... 20 Mar 2010 19:57
