Brain Calories
Here's a new use for the "-" key: According to the American Cancer Society, various activities have different calorie-burning impacts on health. The following data caught my eye: ACTIVITY ---> Calories Burned Per Hour Sitting ---> 81 Watching TV ---> 72 Assuming that most people watch TV while sitting, and... 4 Oct 2006 14:44
ROM source code and NDAs
The HP48 series have been discontinued for some time now. Is it possible to obtain the source of the ROM for noncommercial / educational purposes if we are willing to sign away any NDAs and left kidney? Or is that just completely out of the question since bits of the ROM still exist within the HP49/50 series? ... 3 Oct 2006 18:00

HP49G+ Summation execution time
Is it just me or has one of the recent updates to the HP49G+ improved the speed of execution of summations ( using sigma notation )? Hi, I've been using my HP50g for a little less than a week, and I'm on the process of getting acquainted with it. I thought of a feature that is not built-in, and was wondering whether there is a program or a library that would let me do it. What is the best way to create some sort of equation collection? I li... 2 Oct 2006 16:44

Problems with reading text files created on PC
An exhaustive search through the archives has left me with more questions than answers, so here goes: I want to be able to create "documents" on the PC that include text and some equations, and then be able to transfer them to the 49G+/50G for later reference. I have tried using Notepad on the PC, and using DocFi... 1 Oct 2006 21:53
