But it requires installing .NET Framework 3.5 (and a pretty large app, at
over 200 MB!), as I recall. .NET 2.0 won't cut it. And that could be a
concern, no? (I thought I recall someone mentioning some issue with that
on fileforum, like it broke some of his existing 2.0 apps, or that some
existing apps using .NET now ran slower? I can't recall.

What was the service that Microsoft requires you to register for, to be able
to use it?

Well, but what's the point, as long as some of these NNTP newsgroups remain
active?

Like you, I'm resisting crossing over. And there's still the issue of which
bridge (Community Forums, VS Microsoft).

Or the advantages, if any, over accessing them directly in IE, at the
Microsofts Answers Home Page:
