Weak signal
Recently I purchased wireless usb G adapters, of make Blanc. Since purchasing this, I've noticed that my signal strength drops from 11Mbps to down to 2 Mbps. This is even when the laptop is in the same room as the router. Previous to this, I had a trendnet adapter connecting to a trendnet router, no issues. ... 2 Mar 2006 02:55

Livebox problems
I have been having issues with my Wanadoo Livebox broadband/wireless access point and my new laptop. On my previous laptop I used a Safecom wifi card instead of the Wanadoo-supplied USB dongle (which was slightly damaged). Now I have replaced the laptop with an Acer Aspire 3003LM, and the Safecom card no longer... 24 Feb 2006 13:19

Use WiFi as an Ethernet bridge to the Internet?
I want to get a Comcast cable internet connection and use WiFi to use the network in a computer room about 30 feet away. This doesn't seem to pose a big problem in theory, with one frame-and-drywall and one short adobe (~42 inch-high mud brick) interior wall obstructing the line of sight between the cable connecti... 2 Mar 2006 00:21
Proxim 8450/8570/8571 as wireless bridge?
I have some Proxim 8450CN WAPs that are pretty much the same as the Harmony 8570/8571's. They work great as normal access points where my wired network provides all the WAPs with a path to the building's gateway machine. Wireless users can associate with the nearest WAP and end up with Internet access. Howeve... 19 Feb 2006 16:48
