PZM's for theatrical use
I've been tasked to select boundary microphones for a small theatre company. I'm currently going over reviews and specifications, and figured I'd see if anyone here happened to have any particular favorites. Their production types include musicals occasionally including dance. Their current performance space'... 6 Apr 2006 01:18
Compressor For Drums
I'm looking for a compressor / limiter / gate to tighten up our drums. We have a kick drum mic and an SM-57 overhead. Is the dbx 166xl a pretty good choice in the low/mid price range? I'm using one now on vocals, and I like it and understand it pretty well. We have a small setup for a 4-piece rock band. We only... 8 Apr 2006 00:34
Monitor Mixer without a splitter snake??
Can it be done? For instance - if you took an AH GL2200 and snaked mics into that from stage, then plugged into the inserts, and went TRS --> XLR into the snake to FOH... My initial thoughts are: you lose the XLR balanced line. (Would modifying the TRS to two on the tip and one on the sleeve solve this?) Yo... 17 Apr 2006 16:37

T... 2 Apr 2006 23:18

Need to generate 135+dB sounds for equipment testing
Hello All, I posted this in audio.pro.tech and they suggested this group may be more appropriate for my questions.
