Can't Eject Maxtor External HD When I try to disconnect my Maxtor 3100 External HD by "Safely Removing Hardware" I get the message "The device Generic volume cannot be stopped right now. Windows Install on Single SATA I am trying to get windows XP installed on a single SATA drive with my Intel 925XE motherboard. I don't want to install RAID (only one drive) nor the Intel application accelerator. How can I do this?
