'Unreadable (pending) sectors'
Smartd is reporting Device: /dev/sda, 2 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors on one of me computers. Can anybody explain what this means and how harmful it is or point me at a suitable explanation. Linux and hard disk sector size
Is the change to the basic sector size by disk manufacturers going to effect Linux systems?. It is said that it will effect Windows XP and earlier by about 10%.
