iPod managing advice
Just struggling with my new mini iPod (won in the Walker's Crisp promotion. Yes, it is possible to win one!!) and would appreciate some advice. The iPod holds 4GB, hopelessly less than my iTunes collection. I accepted its kind offer to make a selection to fill up the iPod. However, once this was done it seems t... 27 Sep 2005 12:22

I was just tipped off that version 8.50 of Opera for OSX now works with www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk. I can confirm that it does. iMAc G5 Fan Noise
I have one of the iMac G5s that is in range of serial numbers that is potentially faulty. It hasn't actually failed yet. However, the fan noise is excessive. The CPU fan runs more or less continously at 5600 rpm and the CPU temperature is 65C under no load conditions and can rise to 87C. Before, I contact Apple, co... 20 Sep 2005 12:20
Other systems won't read iMac burned CD
I prepared a Powerpoint X/SR1 presentation using iMac G4/700 OSX 10.2.8, then burned two separate disks on the built-in Sony CD burner. One I left as 'Mac Extended', the other I burned after choosing MS-DOS format in the Disk Copy File Preferences dialog. Neither could be read by the PC-based industrial AV syst... 26 Sep 2005 17:13
PowerMac G5, stuck CD!
Somehow, and the guilty party isn't owning up exactly how, a music CD became stuck in my shiny new PowerMac G5, resisting all, and I mean all, attempts at removal. Hitting the eject button, and indeed all other key-combinations normally guranteed to force an eject, result in a rather pathetic 'click' from the mecha... 18 Sep 2005 15:51

Safari and www.easyjet.co.uk
So, good news for the NatWest users, but suddenly I cannot book flights with easyjet. Safari (1.3.1) on OSX Panther. Is it different with Tiger? Curious because I was looking at flights to Barcelona early last week, but now Safari is not displaying the airports and dates dropdown menus - they briefly appear and... 13 Sep 2005 22:40
