Upgrading an iMac G3 400MHz SE hard disk
Hello again, My next question concerns putting a new hard disk into an iMac G3 400 MHz SE. I've purchased a 120GB Seagate drive and when I replaced the battery backup recently it looked like an easy job to replace the hard disk. The problem is cloning the contents of the current hard disk (11GB in size I thi... 3 Feb 2006 15:35

Anyone using this? And if so, under 10.4.4 at least, is anyone finding that leaving it running is preventing your hard drive from spinning down? Cheers, Ian ... 5 Feb 2006 05:19

Pop-Ups [Grrrrrrrrrrrr]
I've tried now with Safari, Netscrape and Firefox and it would seem that someone has found a way to defeat the pop-up blocker. Go to www.pollstar.com and there's no problem. But navigate anywhere on the site and, Bling, up comes the pop-up. Anyone know how I can block this ? [Please don't tell me to use Opera... 8 Feb 2006 15:45

New drive installed easily enough. Seems to be reading disc OK and just doing its first test burn copying my Tiger disc. Skype and TCP/UDP
Have recently been in contact with a Skype techie about sound distortion on my outgoing audio. He suggests opening port 443 as well as the 80 and 54045 in the Firewall. Well I've done that, no problem. But he then goes on to say both UDP and TCP traffic should be allowed, however nowhere in System Prefs can I fin... 25 Jan 2006 05:18
