Reading El Torito I've got a bootable DVD image in UDF format. I'd like to add some more files to the image before burning it, while preserving the bootable part. There's plenty of information about how to create and burn an El Torito image, but I can't find anything about how to find one on an existing CD (image). -- TH * http... 15 Feb 2007 19:20
VNC server, dual ethernet ports, no xdmcp wierdness. We have a DL-320 server here, which we set up in the usual way. However, in this particular install, we set up eth1 as 192.168.0.x for the internal lan (because that is what Kudzu found first), and eth0 as 192.168.111.x for the yet-to-be-installed other network. We set up the vnc-server, and discovered it didn'... 18 Feb 2007 11:23

pam_iptables Has anyone here ever used pam_iptables with Fedora core 4, kernel 2.6.17.8? I'm trying to use it here with limited success, it's mostly working but it won't remove the iptables rules it added when logging in. I get a permission denied entry in messages when logging out... Zeroconf/avahi Hi all, After a bit of pondering as to the best mix of static addressing and dhcp, I decided to take the plunge and see if I could get my home network operating entirely along zeroconf lines, with a view to ditching dhcp and moving onto the 169.254/16 network. Topfield PVRs I'm going to be in the market for some sort of television recording device fairly shortly since my VHS machine has recently snuffed it. The main application's going to be timeshifting things, but I might occasionally want to keep something. I don't think I've got the time or money to go for a MythTV setup, but ... 8 Feb 2007 11:42
