Any UML sages out there? Hi, I've been left in charge of a UML host, which has gone wonky, and the instructions I've been given for reviving it don't... I think it's a networking issue, as a ps -fu for the UML server shows stuff happening, but I can't ping or otherwise reach it. Grub error on new HD I have been looking for help on the Ubuntu forum but no practical help so far. running jk2ded 1.02 My sone want to run a dedicated server for an online game he plays sometimes (jedi knight 2). There are various versions about and the lastest one apparently runs fine, but the version he wants - 1.02 - segfaults every time on start up. Kernel option to mount by UUID I just installed Ubuntu Feisty on my laptop. Its update-grub insists on referring to root by its UUID instead of /dev name which makes my self-compiled kernel panic at start-up if I forget to change it back (kind of defeats the point of grub).
