If I delete the partition and make a smaller one with cfdisk, will it be possible to reinstall Windows on this fr... 1 Feb 2007 06:16

Martin Gregorie wrote: I've successfully used RAR 3.70 beta 1 with Fedora Core 1 - this is on a Thinkpad 560Z that can't be migrated to later versions of Fedora because it won't boot from CD - only floppy or HD, so I can't comment about what happens with later Fedora installations. There are ways around ... 31 Jan 2007 23:31

Configuring deinterlacing in xine
How are you supposed to configure the deinterlacing method in xine? The existing option is marked deprecated and doesn't seem to do anything; I think it's using the most basic method which doesn't give good results. It tells you to use postprocessing options instead, but there are no postprocessing options for dein... 22 Jan 2007 16:41

BBC Listen Again : Local Radio
Can anyone give help and/or advise on finding the URLs for BBC Local Radio shows. These seem to be hidden in a pile of javascript and don't seem to be as accessible as the national networks, which can usually be found with a bit of effort when looking through source code, or with minimal effort with sites like htt... 17 Jan 2007 19:15
Finding SSID's under Ubuntu
Dear Folks, My laptop does jolly well at making wifi connections with Ubuntu. However, it doesn't show me the names / (E)SSID's of available networks - it expects me to know them and enter them to configure the wireless network connection. Is there any way of getting Ubuntu to show a list of what's available?... 14 Jan 2007 07:17
